In the City of Yokohama, the following changes to the pediatric medical subsidy took effect in August 2023.
Eligible age: 0 years old to the third grade of junior high school
Subsidy target: Inpatient and outpatient care
Eligible expenses: Co-payments for medical insurance treatment
Subsidy type: Full subsidy
When a person eligible for the subsidy visits a hospital, there will be no payment.
You need to present the medical card at the reception, so please make sure to bring it with you when you go to a hospital.
