“First time child-care coupon” and “Child-care by a supporter trial coupon”
Those with children born after April 1, 2023 are eligible to receive coupons for free temporary childcare and other services.
By using this coupon, you can leave your child temporarily with a care-giver for any reason, for example to get errands done, or to allow yourself a change of pace.
“Hajimete no Oazukari ken” (“First time child-care coupon”)
(A coupon that allows a child to be temporarily cared at a nursery school)
Valid period of use: 57 days after birth to the end of the month in which the child turns 2 years old.
Where the coupons can be used at: Licensed nursery schools, unlicensed nursery school, etc.
Duration: Total of 24 hours * The coupon can be used in 30-minute increments, up to a total duration of 24 hours.
How to get a coupon:
- Have a meeting with the nursery school where you would like to leave your child at.
- Receive an electronic coupon on The Yokohama City’s Web-Based Reservation System.
“Kosapo de Azukari Otameshi ken” (“Child-care by a supporter trial coupon”)
(A coupon that allows a child to be temporarily cared by a local supporter)
Valid period of use: 57 days after birth to the end of the month in which the child turns 2 years old.
Persons who will be taking care of the child: Those in the area who are registered on the “Child-Rearing Support System”
Duration: Total of 8 hours * The coupon can be used in one-hour increments, up to a total duration of 8 hours.
How to get a coupon:
You can get a paper coupon after registering as a member on the “Child-Rearing Support System”.
Yokohama City’s Web-Based Reservation System is available only in Japanese.
